For one night only, La Goulue Manhatan will welcome longtime society favorite Alex Donner and his four piece Orchestra on Friday, May 15th for a dinner cabaret-style evening. Donner, whose orchestra has played virtually every major ball and gala in New York, will appear in an intimate format, drawing from his cabaret sets at the Café Carlyle and the Algonquin in New York. The evening will blend classic standards with the kind of party music that has made him a fixture in both Manhattan and Palm Beach and the dance floor will be open. A Princeton graduate who left a legal career to pursue music, Donner later served as Musical Director at Manhattan’s Club El Morocco and The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach and, he continues to perform nationally while maintaining a local presence.
No cover, $85 prix fix dinner will be served (beverage, tax and gratuity not included), expect a mix of regulars and in-the-know locals—an easy, old Manhatan–style night. Doors open at 7pm
